Guide to Amuri Checkerboard Tile
Amuri tiles are matte porcelain checkerboard tiles available in 8x8 and 24x24 inch formats. The collection also includes a Struttura 3D Gelosia textured option, which adds raised surface detail to the checkerboard pattern.
The palette is inspired by warm Italian earth tones: Avorio, a warm ivory; Biscotto, a soft biscuit cream; Cotto, a warm terracotta shade; and Grigio, a cool grey. Each combination ships as a pre-paired bundle with both colors included, so you do not need to match separate tiles from different product lines.
All formats have water absorption below 0.5%, making Amuri suitable for floors, walls, and wet areas. Flat rate shipping applies nationwide.
Two Format Sizes
The 8x8 inch format works well for kitchen floors, bathroom floors, walls, and backsplashes where you want a classic checkerboard scale.
The 24x24 inch format is better for larger rooms and open-plan spaces. It creates fewer grout lines, a cleaner look, and a larger pattern that stays easy to read across bigger areas.
Both sizes are available in a flat matte finish. The Struttura 3D option is available in 8x8 only.
Struttura 3D Gelosia
Struttura 3D Gelosia tiles have a lattice-embossed surface that adds texture to the checkerboard pattern. Standard checkerboard tile creates contrast through color. Struttura 3D adds another layer of contrast through surface detail.
When paired with flat tiles, one tile reads smooth and matte while the other adds raised geometric texture. This creates a checkerboard look with more depth and movement.
The Struttura 3D option is available in 8x8 bundles pairing Avorio, Biscotto, Cotto, and Grigio textured tiles with coordinating flat tiles.

Why Choose Tile Mart for Amuri Checkerboard Tile
Amuri gives you two checkerboard scales within the same four-color palette. The 8x8 format works well for traditional checkerboard layouts, while the 24x24 format creates a larger, more contemporary pattern with fewer grout lines.
Pre-paired bundles help ensure both tiles share the same thickness and matte finish, which can help create a cleaner installation than mixing tiles across separate product lines. The Struttura 3D Gelosia option also gives Amuri a textured checkerboard look that adds more dimension than a standard flat tile layout.
