What Is Zellige Bespoke Tile?

Zellige Bespoke is authentic Moroccan zellige, hand shaped and hand cut from natural terracotta clay, then hand glazed and fired by artisans, in six deeper, moodier colors than Tile Mart's other zellige series: Desert Pearl (soft white), Espresso Noire (espresso brown), Indigo Mist (deep navy), Nomad Sand (golden ochre), Sundried Clay (rust terracotta), and Twilight Bloom (dusty mauve). It comes in four formats: a 4x4 square, a 2x6 long oval, a 2x2 crosshatch mosaic, and a 2" circle mosaic.

Zellige Bespoke Wall Tile

This is wall tile only, across every format. None of the four, including both mosaics, are rated for shower pans, pool linings, or frost resistance. Fireplace surrounds are the one rated exception, when proper installation methods are followed.

The 2x6 long oval runs thicker at .59" (15mm) than the 4x4 square and the two mosaic formats, which all come in at 3/8". Every format carries the same glossy, hand-cut character: heavy (V3) shade variation, slight waviness, and the occasional pinhole, the natural marks of genuine zellige rather than a flaw.

Zellige Bespoke Tile by Room

Kitchen backsplash: The 4x4 square or the long oval both work well in a backsplash, with the oval giving a softer, more organic rhythm than a standard grid.

Bathroom vanity or shower wall: A single moody color like Indigo Mist or Espresso Noire makes a bathroom vanity wall or shower wall feel intentional and grounded, never the shower floor, where this material isn't rated.

Fireplace surround: All four formats carry a fireplace surround rating, so Sundried Clay or Espresso Noire wraps a fireplace in warm, hand-cut texture.

Accent wall: The crosshatch and circle mosaics work best contained to an accent wall or niche, where their woven or rounded geometry reads as a deliberate detail rather than wall-to-wall pattern.

How to Choose Zellige Bespoke Tile

Keep this material on walls, never floors or shower pans. None of the four formats, including the mosaics, are rated for shower pans, pool linings, or frost resistance.

Mix tiles from multiple boxes before installing. The handmade process means real shade variation from carton to carton, and the vendor recommends blending boxes for a natural, even result.

Order at least 15% overage. Industry standard for hand-cut zellige accounts for cuts, breakage, and future repairs.

Choose the oval or circle shapes for a softer, more organic look, the square or crosshatch for a cleaner grid. Bespoke's rounded formats set it apart from the straighter lines of Tile Mart's other zellige and terracotta tile.

Order a sample before you commit. Genuine zellige carries pinholes, gentle waves, and shade shifts that photos can't fully convey, see a piece in your own light first.
